Metal Pinking Shears

Don't you wish that there were pinking shears that could cut metal! The best scissors that I have are a pair of Two Dollar shop ones that my sister gave me. They are an old style with bent round handles. These are wonderful, cutting baked bean tins to paper.

Pinking shears are used to stop the material from fraying, so I guess a reason there are not any to cut metal with is that metal does not fray. I know that, but still what happened to the rickrack look? Decoration vs practical reasons. Decoration is in the making in the workshop I figure.

More than skin deep.

How much call is there for pinking shears though today anyway? Is sewing going out of fashion?
