Bone
carving. Play on words here. The hunter or the gatherer?
Finding
the unisex form of the black singlet in a canon bone, drawing
it out, then working it till smooth and silky. All the time
I am thinking about the family roast.
The
in back side of the singlet in the inside of the bone I often
find stunning "lace like work veins". These marks of the beast,
never normally seen, except by butchers, are what is left
when all the marrow has been cleaned, scraped, and bleached
out.
A
statement on colonial times (not long past), and modern day
aesthetics.
