The back country - the real New Zealand?

Like a bird with a bird's eye view I wanted to capture some of the rawness that is New Zealand: shadows and reflections of Aotearoa, the land and the people living, surviving, growing up in this incredibly beautiful, rugged landscape of ours.

Black as a national colour one might say? It is the ultimate reflection of who we are. Strong and proud.
