Far as a Man May Go is the title of a book
by Shirley Maddock and Don Whyte about the travels of Captain
James Cook to New Zealand. Apparently
this is from the Journal of Captain James Cooks second voyage:
farther than any other man has been before me, but as far
as I think it possible for a man to go.'
Maybe
so in the physical sense but holistically, as a society, we
have a lot more boundary pushing to be done yet I think.
This
piece reflects our landscape and my feelings towards our progress
in terms of gender roles, race relations, equal opportunities
and human rights.
